Before 40:00 – I'm very glad you mentioned that superheros work Christ in on purpose. Have you looked into the pattern of the gnostic gospel concerning them – it's pretty in-your-face.
After seeing videos by Little Light Studios, of actors admitting to being possessed to play a role and to using witchcraft to get a role, I no longer have desire to watch ANY movies. I realised they're acted by godless people, and the movie plot is all about what Godless people do, to get a happy ever after. What business do Christians have exposing themselves to that.
My personal favorite Christian movie is the DreamWorks movie The Prince of Egypt. Is it entirely biblically accurate, no. Is it a good story told well, yes.
I don't think the Prince of Egypt was Disney I think it's DreamWorks. Also Book of Eli wasn't a Christian film but it has in your face Christian message and themes.
Christian movies made by Christians are typically awful (God's Not Dead). There are a few notable exceptions. On the other hand, Christian movies made by Hollywood are usually thoughtful and well-produced. Perhaps, because they try harder not to offend anyone.
42:32 the thing is, when discussing God, most atheists are like Kevin Sorbo, and many professors goals are to lead your kids astray. Your kids don't come out of college with lost faith by coincidence.
23:29 the Kendrick movies has human condition in them, but presented in a way that holds true to Philippians 4:8. In fact, Old Fashioned directly addresses lust and pornography.
I am 1689 Baptist and can say that “Christian movies” (which are a misnomer) are by and large unwatchable in how bad they are (Flywheel, Fireproof, Facing The Giants, Left Behind, Mom’s Night Out, etc)

I would note that many of the world's portrayals of the Gospel are twisted in such a way as to mock Christ, or promote the antichrist.

I want to see a Acts show that can be similar to Rome that was on HBO but it doesn't have to be so much like Rome but have a grittiness

Very timely conversation. I'd love to hear your opinion of Nefarious.

My personal favorite Christian movies are "The Ten Commandments" and "Ben Hur" featuring Charlton Heston.
