Three things the fasting does 1. Makes must make us focus on God 2. Fasting must be accomplished with benevolent acts to fellow men. 3. Fasting must make us humble 4. Fasting must generate divine favour from God (example is Easter entering the King's court). In the meantime, divine favour does three things A) Opens the gate of heaven (the appearance of the angel to virgin Mary) B) Divine favour generates wealth transfer (Exodus 12:36. God caused Egyptians to give their gold to the children of Israel) C) Divine favour commands the alligance of men, even kings.
Fasting also generates 1. The ability to rule in the realms of the spirit. 2. It takes fasting and consecration to start a worldwide spiritual venture. (Acts 13:1). 3. Fasting makes us break into the realm of inspiration. (Isaiah 58:8)
