  1. My Notes: The Word of Righteousness 13 by Apostle Arome Osayi
Theme: The Crown of Life and Apostolic Legacy
    Date: 8th November 2024

Introduction: Overcoming Weakness in the Spirit
A believer’s victory over trials and spiritual weakness comes from yielding to the Holy Spirit’s leadership.
"The Spirit of God in my spirit will be stronger than every other influence working in me." (Galatians 5:16).
    1. The Crown of Life – Faithfulness Unto Death
    Scripture Reference: James 1:12

“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
    Key Insights:

The Crown of Life is awarded to those who endure trials and persecution faithfully, demonstrating an unwavering love for God.
Faithfulness often involves suffering and requires spiritual resilience (Revelation 2:10).
    Illustration:

Hymn: “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus” reflects the devotion and conviction of early Christians.
    Lyrics Excerpts:
“To him who overcomes, the Crown of Life shall be; He with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.”
The hymn encapsulates the Christian commitment to endurance, courage, and dependence on God’s strength, not the arm of flesh.
    2. The Crown of Rejoicing – A Disciple-Maker’s Reward
    Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

“For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?”
    Explanation:

Also called the Crown of Boasting, this reward is given to those who disciple and raise others for Christ.
Discipleship ensures the continuity of God’s Kingdom purposes beyond one’s lifetime.
    Generational Impact:

Ministry is designed to influence at least four generations (2 Timothy 2:1-2):
Paul → Timothy → Faithful Men → Others.
Effective discipleship multiplies Kingdom labourers, sustaining the Gospel across generations.
    3. Paul’s Apostolic Vision: Raising an Acceptable Offering
    Scripture Reference: Romans 15:15-16

“Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.”
    Key Insights:

Paul viewed his ministry as a sacred duty to present Gentile believers as an offering to God.
His mission was to raise spiritually mature disciples, sanctified and acceptable in God’s sight.
Apostolic discipleship focuses on shaping believers into Christlike individuals capable of representing the Kingdom in their territories.
    Application:

Believers must aim to cultivate disciples who are grounded in holiness and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Ministry efforts should result in a legacy of sanctified lives, demonstrating the Kingdom’s power and purity.
    4. Apostolic Techniques in Discipleship

Apostle Paul’s discipleship strategy involved key approaches:

    A. Gentle Nurturing Like a Nurse
    Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:7
“But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children.”
Apostolic care created an atmosphere of love and brotherhood that drew many to Christ.
    B. Sharing Their Souls
    Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:8
“We were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls.”
Discipleship involved pouring out personal wisdom, experiences, and sacrifices to help others grow spiritually.
    C. Labour and Travail in Intercession
    Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:9
“For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail… we preached unto you the gospel of God.”
The work of discipling required intercessory prayer and spiritual effort to birth maturity in others.
    D. Demonstrating Holy Character
    Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:10
“Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you.”
A lifestyle of integrity validated the apostles’ teachings.
    E. Exhortation and Fatherly Instruction
    Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:11
“As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children.”
Fathers in the faith guide disciples with wisdom, warnings, and encouragement.
    5. The Legacy of Discipleship – A Testimony from Kano
Apostle Arome shared his experience of discipling a small fellowship during his youth service in Kano, Nigeria:

A revival sparked 22 years ago through intentional discipleship continues to burn.
Many members of that fellowship never met Apostle Arome personally but were impacted by the foundational work.
    Lesson:

True spiritual labour plants seeds that grow and multiply beyond the lifetime of the labourer (2 Timothy 2:2).
    6. The Decline of Apostolic Impact
The absence of strong discipleship has led to spiritual decline in many regions.
Generals like Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola and Archbishop Benson Idahosa displayed extraordinary Kingdom authority.
However, the lack of disciples raised in their spiritual economy has resulted in a diminished legacy.
    Warning:

Without raising strong disciples, the Church risks losing its impact, leading to spiritual degradation (Judges 2:10).

    7. Practical Applications for Modern Believers
    A. Build Generational Impact
Invest in training and mentoring others for Kingdom service.
Focus on raising disciples who can carry the Gospel torch into the next era.
    B. Nurture with Love and Prayer
Create a culture of care, as a nurse cherishes her children.
Labour in intercession for the spiritual growth of others.
    C. Demonstrate Christlike Character
Live lives of holiness, integrity, and selflessness, modelling Kingdom values.
    D. Avoid Spiritual Pitfalls
Reject covetousness and the pursuit of personal glory in ministry.
Emphasise service and self-sacrifice as hallmarks of genuine discipleship.
    E. Commit to Continuous Teaching
Share personal insights and spiritual wisdom with the next generation.
Encourage disciples to maintain their uniqueness in Christ while carrying forward Kingdom purposes.

    8. A Call to Prayer
Pray for grace to plant seeds that outlast your earthly presence.
Seek God’s help to remain faithful in mentoring others for His glory.
Ask for the Spirit of supplication to equip the next generation with Kingdom values and power.

    Key Takeaways
Crown of Life: Reward for faithfulness and endurance in trials.
Crown of Rejoicing: Given to those who disciple others, ensuring Kingdom continuity.
Generational Legacy: Effective ministry should impact at least four generations.
Christlike Leadership: Apostolic discipleship requires nurturing, prayer, and holy character.
Urgent Need for Discipleship: Without raising successors, the Church faces spiritual decline.

  2. I am a product of Apostle's labour at hosanna good news fellow, bompai,Kano. That was where I met the Lord and also heard about his exploits at the fellowship. And till date people are still calling upon the name of the Lord teenagers alike. Thank you Apostle for giving to JESUS.🙏

  3. Lord give me strength as I struggle to support my sons. As a single mom I’ve been overwhelmed trying to pay all the bills on my own so where there is lack, Father, I pray that you bring abundance. I pray that my children will grow up to know and love you. Be with them as I raise them each day to be God-fearing lovers of Christ. Give me wisdom and patience as I continue to struggle to provide for my sons💕

  4. This is the most important thing. My heart and sole desire is to excute everything in God's heart. My soul can't rest until this is done. If I can fulfill the assignment God has orchestrated from my life then I will be complete.
