The King of Kings is the newest animated Christian movie and it’s actually doing REALLY good with audiences and at the box …

  1. I think that this movie, as any other, has its flaws.. but I am happy to see a nice movie about Jesus 🧡 …and also, it is really good children's movie, especially for preschool kids ☺️☺️

  2. Far as I’m concerned, the story of Moses is in the Old Testament. The Old Testament is in the Bible. The Bible is all about Jesus, and so is Christianity. Therefore the story of Moses is part of Christianity.

  3. 1:10 Yes it does count. Lol the whole bible including Moses counts. Good one 😂

2:30 I really love the young David trailer. It's one of my favorites

Did they bring up Harod at all? Just asking… 😅😥😬 yeah… They probably didn't cuz that would have been too graphic for kids… Cough cough baby killer cough cough

  4. I think one of the most complex portrayals is actually in Jesus Christ Superstar of all things. Especially the song Gethsemane. You can tell that even though Jesus knows he has to die, he wishes that wasn't that case and is even upset about it. I think it adds a nice layer of humanity to him because it's a TALL order to ask someone to smile while they get tortured to death for committing no crime

  5. I think the main reason why there's no scene where Jesus turns water into wine is because Angel studios, the distributor of the film, iis owned by Mormon brothers, as they are believed to never drink alcohol according to the "Word of Wisdom".

  6. I'd still see this with my grandma. Angel studios makes amazing Christian movies. Mostly live action movies. But this focuses on the Bible for kids. I understand they had to leave a lot from the Bible out especially for kids. I'm a Christian myself. Got questions? Please don't ask here. This is not my channel

  7. I know it's not animated but if you're looking for a more "human" depiction of Jesus The Chosen does so beautifully

Aside from Veggietales and such, I've never had much interest in Christian media. They do have a tendency to be preachy and there's not much passion behind the writing besides focusing on "the message". The Chosen on the other hand? It's not meant to be a 1 on 1 comparison to the bible- so they take liberties to tell stories with the disciples that we as an audience can relate to. And admittedly, that doesn't sound too great lol. But what liberties they do take tie directly into the gospel messages from the bible. They have a purpose and it's to help us better understand the greater narrative. The characters are so human. None of them are flawless individuals. You get to see Jesus upset, tearful, even crack jokes. And it doesn't feel sacrilegious. The show is so very human. Has gotten me to cry on more than one occasion. I haven't seen the latest season, but from what I'm hearing it sounds like it's BRUTAL. It's just so, so good. I think if you are even remotely interested in history, or just want to watch something more raw, this show can be enjoyable regardless of your religious background. It… may just be a bit hard to watch for some ha

  8. Not crazy into seeing this one but the David movie trailer clips you put on looks crazy good, visually. But I feel like I’m always going to compare everything to Prince of Egypt

  9. It’s not animated but I highly recommend watching The Chosen. It’s about Jesus but they explore more of what could have been happening behind the scenes, not just what is in scripture. And Jesus acts like a genuine human being and is honestly really funny

  10. I'd like to point you to an animated movie that I recently saw called "The Miracle Maker" from 1999…It stars Ralph Fiennes as Jesus, and is one of the better Jesus movies I've seen…Please check it out if you get the chance!

  11. The problem with the story of Jesus in a traditional writing regard is unlike many of characters of the bible Jesus is flawless. And if you know basic writing. you know good characters for story telling have flaws. Meaning to try and make a great Jesus focus story is near impossible in a traditional story telling sense. To further prove this some of the best movies I have seen about Jesus were told threw the eye's of flawed characters that went threw their own arc and story.

As a Christian this is what I think is the biggest problem around writing for Jesus and explains why the prince of Egypt can be written well for traditional story telling where this can at best get a ok. Because unlike Jesus, Moses had flaws to build upon a character for the story

  12. jesus christ (no pun intended?) the trailer for the judas iscariot kickstarter looks SO GOOD, i got chills hooooly moly. absolutely STOKED for that if they're able to bring it to life!! thank you so much for mentioning it! i honestly cant coherently express how visually cool it is to me so i am trying my best hahaha

  13. Speaking as a Christian, getting Christian movies that isn't hitting me on the head with a Bible, but with relatable characters and a good narrative, is a rarity.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to Light of the World a bit more.

  14. Finally, an animated Christian movie you liked!
I’ve watched nearly all your videos on Christian animated content, which most of it you didn’t like. And that’s understandable. Most of the Christian cartoons you’ve animated are wolves in sheep’s clothing. 😂 But personally, I hold to the belief that Christian content is, for the most part, kinda dead inside if the company that produces the content doesn’t hold to Christian values. (minus Dreamworks, they still did a good job on Prince of Egypt) But think of VeggieTales. That show was made by devout Christian people who actually cared about the faith. I wholeheartedly believe stuff like Finding Jesus and Bible Town, both made by WOWNow, were made with ZERO passion about Christ, considering the company exists solely for producing mockbusters and other quality-inadequate films. Therefore, I think it’s important to discern between Christian animation and Christian pandering animation.

  15. There are no good Christian movies. They're tools to brainwash people into being passive little lambs for the government to exploit. Trying to be Christian turns you into the tool of Satan.
