A Prayer for First Thing in the Morning:

Good morning, Lord!
Thank You for a new day. Thank You that Your compassion is renewed every morning. Great is Your faithfulness and Your steadfast love, O Lord!
I don’t know what all is going to happen today, and how much I’ll get done, but You do.
So I give this day to You.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, Father. Energize me for Your work, because You know how tired these bones are. Awaken me to the wonder of Your salvation, and quicken my spirit to the reality of Your work in my life.
Lord, my mind is filled with creative ideas, but they’re all jumbled. Holy Spirit, come and hover over my mind like You hovered over the waters at creation and speak order out of the chaos! Help me to cease striving and to trust that You will give me all I need today to do the work You’ve given me to do.
You will be faithful to complete the good work You’ve started, and as I step out into my day, I declare Your sovereignty over every area of my life. I entrust myself to You and ask that You use me however You see fit.
This day is Yours. My body is Yours. My mind is Yours. Everything I am is Yours.

May You be pleased with me today.
Amen.

    • @All Me Your Youtube name sums you up completely. Unspeakable shame on you for your complete obsession with yourself and your utter lack of empathy for your fellow human beings. You have faith in your god because you have never suffered, nor have you seen real suffering. Am I speaking with an angry tone? Yes, because I speak for the millions of your fellow humans who are in indescribable misery while you praise a god who is interested in your little life but chooses not to help those who desperately truly need his help.

Because you say there is a god who cares for people and helps people, when 1 million African Rwandans died by machete chops in a span of four months and your god stood by and watched with folded arms and did absolutely nothing, you spit directly in the faces and mock the heinous hell on Earth of those anguished human beings.

That you say your god could have helped those 1 million Rwandans pleading to him as they were chopped into pieces while still alive, the metal machetes cutting into their arms as they tried to defend themselves, cutting into their faces as their attackers tried to chop their heads, chopping their achilles tendons in two as they desperately tried to run away, never to be able to run again as the machete chops rained down on them severing their hands from their arms, their feet from their legs as they felt every chop as their life blood flowed slowly from their bodies and they knew your god decided he did not feel like helping them after all.

Shame on you for your obsessed selfishness in believing a good god is tending to your tediously trivial safe, secure life when millions the world over are going through Hell on Earth and the loving god your great, great, great, great, great ………….. uneducated grand-parents passed down to you through the generations is proven to not exist at all.

And again, if he did exist and he could help the tortured millions, even women raped to death by shovel handles during that same blood letting in Rwanda, or similar deaths by the millions throughout Africa and parts of the world you have no desire to know about or understand, but chooses not to help them, then you are in league with the most satanically sadistic and evil monster imaginable.

This says everything about you personally, your obscene obsession with yourself, and your complete lack of empathy for your fellow human beings. Shameful beyond words to describe is your love only of yourself and your own well-being that you say your god cares about you, when the evidence is in front of you that for those who really need him where life and death are being decided, he is completely absent and does not exist.

    • @drServitis As I read your latest reply, it occurred to me that the voice I associated with those words was an angry harsh one…speaking at a volume just under a scream! I stopped right then, cleared my mind, and started over. This time, I conjured up a steady, clear, thoughtful voice…speaking at a conversational volume. In either case, I understand your very valid and logical points. I don’t believe any right to a benefit of doubt, when God (who is of a higher, unimpeachable character) has not earned any from you. But, I ask that you trust that each and every valid concern you’ve made are ones I also have. I have an almost autistic obsession with reason and logic. So it comes as almost an insult to myself to say that, ultimately, faith in God can not come by logic or reason. It is one of the most _seemingly_ ignorant statements of my life. But, in my case, it would be _true_ ignorance to state otherwise. *IGNOR(E)* ance is derived from ignoring the knowledge and truth at one’s disposal. I cannot deny God, because He has made Himself known to my inner being. This will be the greatest point of contention. It draws a fine line. And, by definition of logic, defines me as insane. As for all other points, there are none you could mention, that I have failed to consider. And, while I believe I could make a fair go of countering many of those points (to the extent which logic can be applied to something as illogical as faith) based exclusively on logic and reason… I’ve already lost. Neither one of us is going to influence the other. So I will appeal to you …not on the basis of faith …but rather human dignity. It is an essential & imperative right to have freedom of belief. Never would I want to force an atheist into prayer. It would offend what either one stands for. Now, if an atheist robbed, attacked or injured me in some way…it would be unfair to define all atheists by that one individual’s actions. Likewise, not everyone who is religious share identical interpretations or outlook. Nevertheless, I apologize on every believer’s behalf for any offense. I’ve never understood those people who show up at your door and pester you about joining their religion. Comparatively, it perplexes me why an atheist would waste his time posting under a video on prayer. This is my long way of suggesting that since we cannot agree… that an effort be made to respectfully disagree. I think we both value freedom. As long as freedom is held in high-value…then believers & non-believers have an opportunity to respectfully, co-exist. I cannot speak on anyone else’s behalf, but I’ll do my part… and encourage you to do yours.

    • @All Me SO YOU ARE SAYING ONCE AGAIN THAT YOUR GOD HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE’S TALKING ABOUT AS REGARDS THE RELIGION THAT HE ALONE IS THE CREATOR OF.

You say the one verse I gave you in which Jesus Christ commands people to hate their children, Luke 14vs26, paints god as hateful, when the Bible clearly says that your god is hateful. Modern American Christianity paints your god as caring,

but the Bible says just the opposite in most of its scriptures. And the evidence of a callous god, if he exists, allowing the vast majority of humans to die in extreme misery, is all around you and has been for millenia. That the majority of humans will end up in hell for eternity as the Bible clearly says, shows again just how hateful your god really is.

Proponents of the fact that according to the Bible your god is hateful may themselves be theists or atheists, and in the case of either, concerning the nature of the God of Abrahamic faiths, will assert that God is not good but rather malevolent, particularly (but not exclusively) to those who do not wish to follow that faith.

For example, in his Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, Jonathan Edwards, a devout theist, describes a God full of vengeful rage and contempt.

Such absence of kindness is one kind of theist counterargument to the notion that the problem of evil poses any great logical challenge to theism.
Theists say that your god is evil in nature, so it is not surprising that most humans have lived in extreme misery pain, and hard-ship throughout history.

One particular view of your god’s hateful nature, an atheistic approach, is summarized by the prominent revolutionary philosopher Mikhail Bakunin, who wrote in God and the State that “if God really existed, it would be necessary to abolish him”.

Bakunin argued that, as a “jealous lover of human liberty, and deeming it the absolute condition of all that we admire and respect in humanity”, the “idea of God” constituted of metaphysical oppression of the idea of human choice.”

Political theorist and activist Thomas Paine similarly wrote in The Age of Reason, “Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon, than the word of God.”

He added that the account of your god in the Bible “is a history of wickedness, that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel.”

    • @drServitis A perfect example of what I was talking about!
Based on that one scripture alone, a very hateful portrait of god is painted. Giving us enough room to feed our doubt vs feeding our faith. But, much connotation and context is lost. Like on here, typed words lose some context compared to spoken. How do I know what context to place it in? Comparing it to the over-all character of Jesus. Just like when you get to know someone and have seen or heard something that you know to be against their nature. What do you do? You give them the benefit of the doubt.. room for explanation and clarification. As follows:
Jesus was emphasizing that loyalty to God takes precedence over loyalty to family. For the same very fact I pointed out earlier. That human beings are naturally bent toward wrong. God is the SOURCE of love. By putting Him first we are then enabled to love people even more.
Matthew 7: 9. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10. Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11. *If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!*
Matthew 22: 36. “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37. Jesus replied: *”‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38. This is the first and greatest commandment. 39. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’*

Luke 18: 15. People were also bringing *babies* to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16. But Jesus called the children to him and said, *”Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”*
Matthew 18: 21. Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I *forgive* my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22. Jesus answered, *”I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.* (meaning indefinitely)
John 8: 7. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 10. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11. “No one, sir,” she said. *”Then neither do I condemn you,”* Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
And lastly, Jesus was so full of love that while he lay tortured, abused, and being murdered:
Luke 23:36. The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar
      He said:
Luke 23: 34. Jesus said, *”Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”*

    • @All Me YOU SHOULD READ YOUR BIBLE MORE OFTEN. JESUS CHRIST TELLS YOU THAT IF YOU DO NOT HATE YOUR OWN CHILDREN THEN YOU WILL BURN ALIVE IN HELL FOR ETERNITY.
In Luke 14vs26 Jesus says: “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own children he cannot be My disciple.”

So as we said, Jesus himself told you that you are going to Hell for not doing what he commands you to do in your own religion, to hate your own children. Are you saying that Jesus Christ is wrong? That would be called blasphemy, and in your Christian religion blasphemy is the worst of all sins and is punished even more severely than the sin of not hating your own children, even though that sin will give you eternity in Hell.

Maybe you should start using your own brain and realize that your religion is extremely abusive as well as a complete myth and that you should leave it like I did and free yourself from its nonsense. You have a good brain. Time to start using it.

    • Reflections for this very difficult year, 2020:

      John 10:10
Evil is not from God but from the devil, who comes to steal, kill, and destroy

      1 Pet 5:8
Be sober; be watchful, stay alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Are we Christian because we want to follow God’s ways in our daily lives?

Or are we Christian because we want God to follow our ways and do what we want?

Do we live a life that reflex that we are Christians, or do we live no different from the rest of the world?

      10 Commandments:

      1. I am the LORD your God. You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.

      2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
(Not using Jesus name irreverently nor carelessly)

      3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.

      4. Honor your father and your mother.

      5. You shall not kill.

      6. You shall not commit adultery.

      7. You shall not steal.

      8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

      9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife.
      10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods.

      Love God above all with all our heart, mind and strength;
And care about and be kind to others, as we are to ourselves

      Read Jesus life daily,
      in the 4 Gospels

It is hard sometimes to pray, especially when fearful, anxious, worried
When Jesus was on the Cross, from Noon to 3 pm there was Darkness,
yet Mary, John, Mary Magdalene, stayed with Jesus at the foot of the Cross.
Can we stay with Jesus and pray during this time of Darkness in the World for 3 hours daily?
Or at least 1 hour as Jesus requested in the Garden.
Our Nation needs prayer so badly, and our World.

To be kind to one another,
as Jesus was kind while on earth.

repentance, conversion, drawing close to God, as part of our
      daily life walk with God.

      1 Cor 6:10
      nor thieves,
      nor the greedy,
      nor drunkards, nor revilers,
nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

      1 Thes 4:3
      For this is the will of God, that you abstain from fornication;

      1 Cor 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

      Rom 13:13
Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in fornication and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy.

      Ephesians 5:4
Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking,

      1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you:
God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him.
      (Light = good
      Dark = evil)

      Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
      Shall tribulation, or
      distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
37 No, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am sure that neither
death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our
      Lord

      James 1:13
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,”
for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.

      Matt 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven.

      1 Timothy 2:8
       I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

      Ephesians 4:26
Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

      Mark 7:21
For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery,

      Romans 1:29
They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,

      Matthew 5:27-28
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
      (Pornography, etc)

      Matthew 15-19
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness

      1 Timothy 1:10
the fornicators, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,

      Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident: fornication, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these.

      1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his
own body in holiness and honor, not
in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who
      do not know God;

      1 John 1:9
      If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins
      and purify us from
      all unrighteousness.

      Come Holy Spirit Come
Fill our Hearts with God’s Love and Light

Are we as Christians giving a good, caring, patient example to our families and world?
That with God’s Love and Light in our hearts
we may be a light in this very dark world at this time.

  2. I had so much anxiety going on in the middle of the night until now..i tried listening to everything from sounds of the rain to chakra, but what I have learned is there is nothing compaired to coming to God, My Father, My Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!❤
