I don't know if you're gonna see this comment, but I first of all want to thank you for this movie it was a blessing, I haven't went to the movie in over 4 years but a couple weeks ago I saw this movie. I love this movie and if I could recommend another movie for guys to make I would humbly ask you to look into the lives of D.L. Moody, George Muller, or Charles Spurgeon.
So Franklin never converted to Christianity. Maybe they should have focused on what Whitfield actually accomplished. As a strong proponent of slavery, whitfield was able to make sure Georgia allowed slavery to be legal.
Saw it in theaters. AMAZING film. I was a film major in college, and this movie exemplifies a level of artistic skill unseen in most modern filmmaking. Watch it!

None of this is true. Franklin liked and apriecated Whitefield but he never converted or worshipped as a Christian. He was quite impressed by Whitefield and did donate to his church, although even at the time he admitted to not believing his teachings.

George Whitefield lobbied the legislature of Georgia to lift the ban on slavery. Then he bought himself some humans. Kind of a big omission in the movie. He was the Kenneth Copeland of his day.
I saw this right before Easter at a theater and now I found out it's going to be shown at a local church and yes I'm going there too. This movie is in my top 2 of favorites
May God enlighten people to reflect on their selfish desires and self-importance. I am….because we all are. Everything we have is from sacrifice that came before. Appreciate what we have and to be content with enough. With a world that is getting smaller and smaller, kindness and understanding are rare commodities.
This was a great movie with amazing characters, which tells a forgotten yet essential story of the founding of the Constitution and the hearts of the American people! America has had religious revivals from time to time. The people of America seem to be more receptive to the Word of God than other nations. We live in a time when this is being tested. Will the people of the USA turn to God again for a righteous foundation for our society, or will we turn to and embrace corruption? We hang by a thread.
Do you need to be a God botherer/Churchy to enjoy this? Or is it quality, in the sense it follows real events as the key ingredients without too much mystical nonsense?
