The funeral scene with the troupe mourning had me on the edge of my seat. I just knew they were going to snatch the veil’s off of Grandma Adira and Vanessa or at least force them to show the person that was deceased. Fanny saved the day with her performance, for a second I actually began to laugh a little. They did a good job with Samuel’s hair and makeup too, he blended in quite well with the others. When he looked back I was like ommmmmggggg whyyyyy????? This was a great film with great educational insight, it should shown in schools. Oh, and I can’t forget about Ozias, he was amazing too. And Clarence’s change of heart at the end and Samuel’s apprehension of faith was the icing on the cake.

Great movie! I watched it today with my husband and kids. Seems like this world is still functioning in form of slavery. I don’t know if things will ever change. I thank God we didn’t have to go through what our ancestors had to go through. Heartbreaking 💔
