Knowing the Lord, growing in grace and accessing all the tools allocated for an effective life has nothing to do with a new year and the prophetic Word, but rather accessing the knowledge of the truth.

1. Yearly prophetic words can become a ritual (denominational) that has no power and no life.

2. Yearly prophetic words are platforms for God to reveal his emphasis to us per season. It also helps us to know the participatory roles that we have to play alongside the blessing alloted for the season as far as our partnership with God is concerned.

3. Yearly prophetic words helps us to discern what God is doing and align with Him per time so that we can release our faith.

God is the God of times and seasons; His workings on earth and in the life of a believer also subscribes to times and seasons.

It’s not unscriptural when God guides people within the frame of times and seasons.

1Peter 2:9

Knowing what God has done for you in Christ is not enough. You must know what it takes to make it a reality in your life.

Light (according to Scripture) represents:

1). Insight and illumination into the truth of God’s Word. (Ephesians 1:15-23, Isaiah 4: 6
Psalm 82:5-7)

2). Understanding. (Acts 18:24-26; Job 32:8)
Understanding is the fortitude for comprehension, it is the bridge between knowing what to do and how to do it. Mastery happens at the realm of understanding.

Understanding is a gift that comes from God.

Lack of understanding places you on the same level as an ignorant person.

3). Access to supernatural direction. (Psalm 119:105, Psalm 43:3, Job 11:9-10)

4). Access to life (John 1:4, John 8:12)

5). Supernatural empowerment (Luke 10:19).
It takes light to reign and exert dominion.

6). A season of showing forth (Isaiah 60:1; Ephesians 5:13)

Requirements (your participatory role);
– you must cultivate a passion and a thirst for knowledge.
– you must be teachable, you must be meek James 1:21
– You must be determined to see the light of God manifest in every area of darkness in your life.
– You must committed to the gathering of the saints like never before Psalms 73:17
– You must be committed to speaking the word of God. 2Corinthians 4:6
