Understanding this could save your life, and your after life, What repent really means
People think repent means to stop sinning and turn away from sin.
This is false as we live under the )law of sin), and we can't stop sinning.
The (law of sin) is what every living human lives under, until Jesus Christs return.
Repent really means – to feel regret or deep remorse, grief in your heart, and all 3 of those are done in your heart
If you are deeply remorseful of your sins and you repent to God, He will know Whether or not you are.
He looks at your heart, so you say God I repent, but really, in your heart you say, I really don't care. He will know, and to Him, you never repented, because He saw your heart when you "repented"
If you dont believe me, look at genesis 6:6
And it [repented] the Lord [deep regret or remorse, grief] that He had made man on earth and it grieved Him.
But instead of turning away from us He made a way for us And that way is Jesus Christ
So does this means God sinned for making us and he turned away? NO!
So as I was saying, Do your sins grieve you? If they do and you prayed to God for forgivness and repentance, true repentance from your heart, than you've repented of those sins
Whether or not you continue in them, if it grieves you that you are this way than as Long as you pray forgiveness every day, youll be fine, but understand if you do not have the Holy Spirit, those sins will negatively effect you.
As I was saying For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of [the truth], there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.” We who are in Christ have eternal life.
After we received the knowledge of [the truth]
Who is [the truth]?
Jesus answered, “I am the way and [the truth] and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Rejecting the previous statement is willful sin.
Ie: any religion that believes in any god aside from Jesus as the only Savior, they are willfully sinning, if they know the truth, and reject him.
Striving for perfection is foolish As perfection is unattainable Striving for better every day however is wise, and where you fall short grace covers
The apostle Paul wrote 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but (what I hate I do. )
16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.
17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.
18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
He sins knowingly, He said what I hate i do. Sinning knowingly and sinning willfully are 2 different things.
Sinning knowingly is knowing you did that sin and you know its wrong
Sinning willfully is knowing [the truth] and refusing to believe Him. That he is enough.
So the Apostle Paul knew he was sinning and he hated it He didnt wilffuly sin, he knew he sinned. that doesnt mean he wasnt saved, it grieved his heart that he did it. And God knew his heart.
We all live under the (law of sin), we can't help but sin, but we should never be proud of sinning, that's where God draws the line.
Pride – this is also a big problem not only in the church but the world
People believe pride is good Yet lucifer got kicked out of heavan because he thought He could be higher than the Most High! Pride, that will be mankind's downfall
As for us a believers All we have to do is believe, admit it publicly to others, don't be ashamed of Jesus and He will not be ashamed of you.
And with that belief comes 2 major laws to loving Jesus
Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, all your might and all your spirit
Love your neighbor as yourself
And with those 2 laws there are 3 major laws you have to do
Forgive others, no matter what And I mean forgive and forget
Do not condemn others or God may condemn you.
Don't blaspheme the Holy Spirit, meaning dont talk trash on the Holy Spirit.
And I'm really not sure about homosexuality but just to be safe I would say no to that too.
You can go to church as a homosexual, but if you are proud of it than that's not forgiveable.
Help one another if you can, stop just walking past homeless people, or anyone in need
Don't have to do, meaning these are forgiveable, but keep good practices Don't shame others, don't mock others, don't shame or mock yourself, we are all made in the image of God and to insult that is insulting God's work. And that's not good Pre marrital sex is forgiveable, I still would not recommend it, it isn't good for your mental health,
You notice all the rules in the bible are for your benefit, so if you can do it, do it, if you can't or struggle quitting, give it to God, and he will make a way.
Aside from that just give God all our problems, and TRUST him to help you. Keep trying to be better,
And give him your time, every day read the bible, pray, and worship on your own time, it'll help grow your Faith, but only do these things if you genuinely want to. Because if you don't want to and do it, it is no different than not doing it at all. God is interested in Genuine love, not fake love.
And by no means is this permission to sin, you become what you practice
So you practice evil, you will become You practice good, you will become But regardless never put your works above His grace ever!
I hope this makes sense ❤
There is so much more the Holy Spirit in me could teach but if you dont even believe this post than what's the point.
Deliver me Lord 😢😢
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amen 🙏🙏
