  1. Here is where I see it. Everyone is on their own personal journey to understanding who they are and what the world is around them factoring in the life surroundings they have been given. Why do you/we get to decide for someone else what their path looks like? Not all journeys are the same. Many Christians are still on their path to understanding what exactly it is they believe and that doesn't happen overnight… do not discourage or tell someone that they can't call themselves a Christian because they haven't fully come to the same understanding as you. Some people's thoughts and emotions are easily seen.. and some are not. Both of you may call yourselves Christian while still struggling with things unseen, food, sexual thoughts, wanting things you don't have or idolizing another. we can't cast stones because someone is outwardly showing that they haven't understood fully the word of God.

  2. The bible is about the reader period! Hence the kingdom is within YOU! ( Luke 17.21)… they will say look over here or there but do not believe them!!! Why??? Because you are Christ! Christ is your experience of yourself and the reality you make! Who do you say I AM?? That’s Christ asking you.. who do you say you are?? As a man thinks in his heart so is he!

  3. Hi, before I start watching: What do you mean by 'historical Christianity'?
Do you include Catholicism and Orthodoxy? Do you include Calvinism and the reformation? Which denominations are 'true' and which are false, aside from the 'progressive' branch? Ty for your thoughts

  4. I left a progressive church before “progressive Christianity” was a term to describe it. The main reason for my departure was they started using half texts to twist scripture’s meanings, but they elevated love for neighbors above the first greatest commandment to love the Lord. Great podcast, Alisa, thank you, sister 🙏

  5. Denying sin and believing you don't need to repent of it is the one Donald Trump seems to believe according to an answer he gave a few years back. What category would you put that in?
Also, do you think he's legit or just scamming everyone?
Ray Comfort implied in a recent video something to the effect that all our past presidents claimed to be Christians to get elected.

  6. I completely agree with what you said around the 16-minute mark about Progressive Christians thinking that they are the true church and have redeemed the faith. Yikes.

  7. Great interview and good question, why do progressive christians use the word christian. My question, why don't historical christians come up with a more accurate term for the progressives.

  8. The problem with fundamentalist Christianity , that conception of it eitomized by both participants in this video , is that its subscribers ignorantly deify the Bible , which although usually done conscientiously is nonetheless bibliolotary . They delusively posit this finite entity through which its human authors expressed their personal and communities experiences of and witness to God , with an infallible oracular status . Only God Himself necessarily has such epistemic perfection or flawlessness . Our minds , and more pertinently , our intellect , is , unlike the Bible , the direct creation of God and thus with its Divinely endowed capability for coherent reasoning can recognize that Holy Scripture manifestly has irreconcilable contradictions in its narrative . Therefore , for one to then contend that it's testimony is wholly inerrant is , I feel , subordinating the value of God's graciously bestowed self image reflecting attribute , our intellects , to an inherently inferior source of transcendental knowledge , a humanly produced one , is grieviously derelict . My intellect compels me to know that the Bible is indeed a revelation of God's reality and relationship to his creatures – most especially through the person and earthly ministry of The Blessed Lord Jesus – It is in fact , although sometimes textually discrepant and also sometimes reflective of absurd anthropomorpisms , an ESSENTIALLY trustworthy record of God's disclosure of Himself through Christ . The Bible is sacred in its role of bearing human witness to this fact , but not sacred in origin .

  9. Great discussion. I remember someone interviewing the author behind one faith no longer and also went over some of the things listed in that book. I've started to say I'm a historic Christian because at this point we are dealing with two different religions.

  10. This was an amazing conversation!
It sounds like David could talk so much more about this topic, so please have him back soon!
Also would love to hear the peanut with the hat story 🙂

  11. I was in Bill Gothards basic youth conflicts seminar back in May of 1973. Portland Oregon. I asked Jesus to be my Saviour at this time. Thanks for the information on his ministry.

  12. The gospel of salvation is Romans. Paul does not have a creed other than the covenant made with Abraham, but now with the Spirit poured out Romans 8 requires a spiritual connection, not salvation at the Cross but the obedience of faith.

Jesus did not come to show us we cannot be good, he came to make sure we are good else no eternal life, as only those sanctified are perfected with past sins forgiven at baptism.

The Creed is Romans, not 1 Corinthians 15, as that is only a synecdoche or headline first given before the full message as Romans.

I have a Ytube video series called 'Myths in so-called Christianity' that exposes Christianity is divorced from its roots of the law of Abraham, as Paul does in Romans.

  13. Grace is for faith, all that is not of faith is sin, grace is merited by good works, not grace v good works, but grace v sin. So-called Christianity is a faith of good works and Christ is Judge.

  14. Actually, progressive heresy doesn't even have ANYTHING in common with other religions. Even Buddhism and Daoism would be APPALLED by most of the things progressive heresy teaches, and oh, boy, don't get me started on what Islam would do to the progressive heretics if they were in a Muslim country.

  15. The Christian Left's faith is being driven by the world's ways instead of God's ways. And if when you let that happen, you're a lot closer to atheism than you think.

Many of the criticisms aimed at the Christian Right actually apply to the Christian Left.

If you're more willing to bash prayer after shootings than defend Faith and if you're more willing to defend a drag queen event at a church than people who get in trouble for being public with the Faith, you're misguided.
