This is garbage and heresy against Finney. All I hear is he didn't have schooling. Neither did John the Baptist. Ignore his efforts and his calling. I spent many last weeks studying even those who witnessed his preaching that is in writing and this criticism is far from deserved. Considering the lukewarmness of the modern American Church, it holds no water compared to his work in his time. Try studying without bias and hatred next time.
Evangelical theology is from demons! Where positional righteousness makes an excuse for sin ongoing in a 'believer'. Repentance is right on with the teaching that the bible does not say a saint ever is a sinner!! Calvinists lead every soul to despair as no one can be holy or righteous.
