Is there a difference between a "follower of Christ" and the name, group, or designation of a "Christian"? I see my life and actions as a "Follower of Christ".

Up until about 500 A.D., Christian beliefs about hell were reasonable and beautiful. The prevailing view then was that hell (more accurately, the lake of fire) not only punished but also purified the unsaved. “All you have to do is simply believe in Jesus.” After telling us for 16 minutes that belief alone isn’t enough but that hating everyone but Jesus and sacrificing every facet of our entire lives is what is completely necessary.
If you aren’t double-speaking, you aren’t a Christian. This is why non-Christians can’t trust you. You bait and switch and you don’t even do it well.
This made me think about things alot. Thank you Allen, I am grateful that you have given me a better understanding of the life with Christ. As a person who has been starting to be a better Christian. Im happy that I can make better decisions by using this knowledge. I pray to Christ that He will help me become a full devoted follower and a better person. I’ve always believed that if you accept that Jesus is Our Lord and Savior and he died for our sins, we are saved. But I also wanted to be closer with Him. So thank you Allen, for giving me a new and beautiful perspective. Praise the Lord.
