I'm currently the freshman in college now that's saved with the roomie that isn't saved yet and my only encouragement some days is that she needs to see what it's like to follow God. The part about you not wearing weave anymore really sticks out to me because no one speaks about how some black women aren’t wearing weave to protect their hair, but because they want to look a certain way to attract people. The hair itself isn’t the problem. It’s just the intention behind it. You could attract certain people with your hair and I feel like because of racism It affects black women’s self-esteem in a different way, sometimes it can become ungodly if you don’t keep your insecurities in check. Many black women feel pushed to be a certain way. Literally if you don’t have a certain personality you are labeled as weird or white washed. I’m happy for people finding themselves in christ and not the world. Glad to see Jesus working in you and using your story to make an impact.

Wow so inspiring . Wish I could hug you and be followers of Christ together. Maybe we meet in Heaven 🩷 At first I was sad and jealous even.. thinking people don't understand they are so blessed and some have hard lives they pray they try basically all they can but yet they feel.. well just never able to get there , to be holy or saved enough , to be smart enough , to keep a good car job house people etc. It's all a season I have faith and will trust in The Lord. We are called to be lead, lead and guide by and in truth.
