Storing up treasure for yourself in heaven does not mean giving money money money to church. It means rendering secrets service to our Lord and seeking Godly devotion.
The pastor should have given him a heavenly bank account for the investment.Lay up for yourself treasures in heaven and not in earthly bank account in pastor’s name. Pastor Paul should be advised not to use bible verses to milk the sheep…..the laying of treasure on heaven does not mean taking all your money to church…..it means giving to the needy …..living a righteous at the expense and sacrifice of wealth. The pastors should at this time be seen to be sacrificing for the sheep too…not living in pleasure of affluence with their family and flounting such around while their members are dieing of hunger….pastors are not just responsible for preaching the word…they are to care and tend the sheep too with material things if they have the means …. Nothing is wrong for well meaning pastor to organise a system of help for church members who may be in dear need from the tithes and seeds the members have given….the tithes are not just for the pastors alone, they are meant for strangers and members in need too…if a member feels uncared for and he has given to God ..he has the right to demand for help and if there is no possibility of that coming and his pastor lives in affluence then he may be drawn to frustration ….amd note it its not a rebellion to God but to the man of God…..because God sees beyond what we see….he sees and understands the heart of this man!
Why should the emphasy be on investment in heaven …..why not on entering the heaven …..can a man pay money to enter heaven?….what if a man has investment in heaven and he is not able to enter is the whole investment and seed paying not ne a waste?!…..well meaning pastors should concentrate on teac hings that will take them to heaven rather than enticing them to donate huge money that will enrich themselves instead of free-will giving …..the new testament church was established on free-will giving …..no enticing, no persuation but out of individual means and personal conviction and the love for God!
