  1. Watched it yesterday.. thought it was good for the most part.. I think they jumped in and out of the past to often .. maybe make the cut scenes a little longer and less frequent .. also some aspects it was a little dark/morbid .. seemed like Sarah hardly stood behind Abraham following God.. but I think he really did a good job of showing a human side of Abraham following God making hard decisions .. and effects were well done.. I would definitely watch again !

  2. I saw the movie last night. My teenage daughter loved it. This would not be typical. I thought the acting was fabulous. I loved how they handled the Lord's presence. Beautifully done.

  3. We loved it!!!! Very deep into the emotion and wow, did we ever even think about what Abraham was feeling,  what Isaac was sensing… this filmed really touched all of us… and relating it to obedience to God. Abraham was obedient to God as Isaac was obedient to his father.. but God didn't take Abraham's son… instead 2000 years later, God gave us his.  How strong is our covenant.. our faith..  what do we hold back from God every day?

It was so thought provoking and to see it instead of just reading it was beautiful.

  4. Saw it tonight! So good!!! I appreciate all you shared Brandon the good and not so good and I do agree with you on these points. Absolutely felt Sarah was the best!! On the whole I will definitely recommend this movie. They did a great job with the budget they had. Thank you for sharing. ✌️

  5. Well, just got back from seeing it. I do agree about the slow beginning and someone who normally does watch these types of films having a hard time with that. No spoilers from me! 😁 Shalom, All!

  6. Oh my thank you for your input. However, as a result of your input I decided not to go.

It wasn’t my kind of movie anyway in the first

I am not a big movie fan most of the time. And I like entertainment and joy in my movies.

This is a serious movie with some ups and downs, which is good for many people but at this time not for me.

But there’s plenty of other ones coming so I’m excited.

As with anything, some people like it, and some people don’t and I’m sure it was well done and had a wonderful deep meaning. So that’s good for many people.

  7. I thought it was overall pretty good. But the ending scene really made it extremely powerful. The way they shot that scene was just so good and well executed. Wish i could watch it again on YouTube rn lol.

  8. I saw the movie this afternoon. I did think it was a good movie, but at the same time, I was a tad disappointed. I thought it was a slow movie-I'm not sure I would know how to change it. The poor director was responsible for everything! At least the story got out to everyone. Perhaps the pay it forward concept
will make a difference. There needs to be more faith based movies -Bible stories out there in my opinion.

  9. I'm looking forward to seeing this however I can from Barbados 🇧🇧 probably on the Angel Studios app eventually. You were so privileged to speak to the director! That's great. Thanks for your honest commentary.

  10. I've heard David Helling say that he wants to film many more Old Testament movies, so maybe he'll be able to earn a bigger budget for those after this one and keep glorifying God with his gifts.
