  1. My kids are graduated but if they were in school now, I would be homeschooling them. I always thought a homeschooling co-op would be ideal. Many kids learning together with moms who are great in specific subjects, would be able to teach those subjects, would be a great learning environment.
For instance, if were to explain math, that would be a confusing, disastrous mess! However, if I taught history and English, I know I could achieve that quite efficiently.
It would be a great variety for both parents and kids!

  2. Testing to get into college (or even to take the GED) does not test for art, music, Spanish, PE, health…the tests usually cover language arts, math, science, social studies, reading comprehension. Everything else can be built on those foundations. But more than half of our time in public schools does not even cover the basic foundational subjects! Yes, Art, music, health, and PE are important but if a kid is struggling to even read a paragraph in 6th grade, should they really be wasting time on the other mandated subjects that are not even foundational? My son was in public school with an IEP plan. He was pulled from many classes for his special classes. He missed learning cursive when it was briefly gone over. This was a big loss for him. When we started homeschooling him in 8th grade, he could hardly write within the lines of wide ruled paper! He said frequently in public schools he would ask the teacher to slow down so he could take notes and they didn't. He didn't have the handwriting skills to take those notes fast enough! His handwriting has improved immensely since we started homeschooling. I give him the time to master his writing techniques with the knowledge that once he got that down, he can work faster later. I didn't even mention the fact that most school work that is completed in public schools are no longer completed on paper but instead on laptops or tablets. Remember that calloused we had/have on our finger from writing? I am guessing, if a parent went and checked their public school students hand, they would find no callouse at all. My son is working on cursive now by using Scripture Scribe copy books. Only a parent can really take the time and tailor an education for each and every one of their children. Public schools don't have the resources or time to do that for every student. My sons reading and math have greatly improved also. He asked for a Bob Ross painting kit for Christmas. He was interested in that. So Bob Ross is his art class now when he feels inspired to paint. Focus on the foundational subjects, find your child's interests and supply resources for them to explore them, and you would be amazed at how well a child will do.

  3. Love this so much!! Allie-what curriculum did you use in your school growing up? You are such a blessing to this time bringing us so many informative interviews for us parents!

  4. Wow! How do I start homeschooling? I’ve been considering it for a few months now, but I’m clueless on how to start, can anyone help me?
I was hoping she would cite resources or tips how to do it.

  5. I’m a public school teacher and I want my children at Christian private or I’m thinking of homeschooling. My family has to come first, and I will serve again when my children and older. My other friends who are Christian teacher are worried and fearful for our own children. It’s so sad!

  6. I'm late-to-the-table homeschooler; covid helped me recognize the territory being lost by my high school-aged son who had an IEP due to a brain cyst. I realized immediately that he was being segregated and given LOW academic expectations because of his diagnosis/delays. He was losing confidence in his abilities and had no growth opportunities in public school as teachers often assigned group work with peers. There were no opportunities for him to join successful learning groups; he was always relegated to the low-performing IEP groups, which were led by teacher's aides who were giving the kids the answers in order to complete the assignments to prevent them from having homework. I realized he was capable of much more when we were locked down and performed his school work together in one-on-one learning style. What a gift. He'll graduate high school through home school this spring and has made amazing progress. He's junior college bound next fall, and confident that he's capable of doing the work and landing a job within his field of study. Homeschooling has proved to be the greatest gift to our family and has blessed me as I witness the ground gained by our son. I'm no longer terrified of him launching into the next season of life. Our only regret: we didn't pull him from public much sooner when we began noticing the crippling effects of low IEP teacher expectation and class segregation experienced in middle and high school. I fear public education is failing in this current 'perfect storm' happening on every front. Parents simply MUST pay attention, make hard decisions, and possibly home educate their children. It's imperative for the nation's future.

  7. I would homeschool in a heartbeat if could and fully support and pray for ones who do and hope to join you someday 🀍 this is wonderful information and thank you for message Kirk!

  8. Gosh, homeschooling my daughter has been weighing heavily on my mind. Her father agrees with us homeschooling her; however, I struggle with choosing the best program for her and searching for social groups. I'm praying for direction and asking God to send the right people that can help us navigate with this process.

  9. Betsy DuVois, now that's a child of Satan running the Public School System. They seem to be crossed at homeschooling, since 10% of kids are now homeschooled. Follow the money trail when people like this are crossed at an issue that's none of their business. Like a prisoner they say is worth 35K, to the system, the same thing can be said about a student who's approximately worth 10k to the system. They see a trend, where their government funding will be going down more and more everytime the public school system loses a child. Everything else is nonsense coming out of these people's mouths that like to denigrate any system that's not the Public School System, which is broken. They get so much government funding, but it baffles me that the funding never reaches the public school system. Constant complaints about teachers having to buy their own books and material, where does the money go; maybe metal detectors as if they're educating these children in a prison setting. Thanks but no thanks Ms. DeVois, stop eating all the funding or wasting what's little that's left on CRT and Sex Education with drag queen day for 1-3 graders. Fifty years to fix the system and the schools look so desecrated. Don't take my word, just take a look at what happen in Flint Michigan. That was such an inhumane setting but they always seem to pass the buck to another agency for their failures. In twenty years, the Public School System in this country will be a non issue, since it will be smashed, but not before Betsey raids the kids funding to fill her cauffers. Maybe buy a Fucken treadmill Betsy, you're about 150 lbs overweight, ya greedy witch!!! Lmao

  10. I decided to homeschool my kids when at Pre school in Florida their teacher told the classroom (15 kids between 3 – 5 year old) that her name was not Ms. A* anymore, but from now on she would like to be called Mix Drew. Parents were not informed before this. My kids didn’t go back on the next day. I’m still shocked. I think people should do whatever they want with their gender or sexuality, but it’s unacceptable confuse kids and try to influence them. My 4 year old daughter told me all the kids had a big laugh when the teacher said that and the director of the school told them to stop because β€œthis is serious”. After this, my daughter told me they played a game in a circle where the kids would throw the ball and everyone could change their name for anything they want. Tell me this is not grooming. To make it worse, they hired a new teacher who does Only Fans as a side job. Yes, there’s semi naked images of her with heart emojis on her private parts on Instagram. I did not had the gut to check her Only fans as my kids were safe at home with me already.

  11. Progressive pastors will tell you that schooling doesn't matter in terms of world view so you might as well sent your kids to the state schools. But we know that this isn't true because LOOK AT THE MSM'S REACTION TO HOMESCHOOLING!!!!

  12. Definitely been having heavy conviction on taking my daughter out of the public school , so much brainwashing and bullying at these schools now , I have to protect my daughter from these toxic environments definitely time to take that leap of faith πŸ™πŸ½

  13. I was homeschooled from Gr.2-6 and it was literally a disaster during that time because I wasn’t even educated a lot and I literally skipped Science and Social Studies and I was literally grounded by my parents everyday since I was not moltivated to learn during those homeschool and I couldn’t manage my own time during those homeschool years! But then God touched my parent’s heart to send me to public school. And I was in public school from Gr. 7-12, and actually got really good grades and I made a lot of Christian friends which helped me socialize with other people I feel like we should always seek God’s perspective when it comes to making those decisions rather than listening to other people, because it’s easy for us to just listen to other people but not know if that’s what God wants for us. I actually ended doing a lot of bible studies with my friends and classmates at school, which has really changed my life.

  14. I have been homeschooling my child for 3 months now since last watching this. Shortly after watching this video 7 months ago I felt a heavy conviction to pull my son out of public school. This whole woke culture can kiss my tushy!! My son has grown so spiritually πŸ’™ just in the short time I've been homeschooling him praise Jesus for having the freedom to do this as many country's have no choice or religious freedom! Thank you so much Kirk! You and your sister are such shining lights in the dark murky world of Hollywood! Amen hallelujah thank you Jesus!!

  15. Started researching about homeschooling after a friend said she was gonna homeschool her daughter. I heard of homeschooling but never thought I'd do it in a million years. And Christian school just too expensive. But after hours of researching into homeschooling, I wouldn't send my kid into any physical school (private or public) even if there was zero tuition involved. Tooo much progressivism type of agenda put out in public schools.

  16. After seeing my 11 yr olds grades and personality go downhill after starting at the local public middle school. It was like night and day. 4 th grade was all A’s but when she got into 5th grade she turned into a different child. We took her out of public school and enrolled her into a Christian/ Parochial school. She is now back to her old self getting straight A’s and happier than ever. Turns out she was being bullied at her old school. Her new school is clean, moral and challenging. Just what she needed. I encourage anyone thinking of a change to go with a Christian based education. πŸ™πŸ™β€οΈπŸŒΉπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
