This is the second installment of a two-part series called Joh G. Lake the Impersonator. In the last video, I showed you that in 1922 …

  1. Thanks, Dan, for another super helpful video! This guy was the forerunner for Bill Johnson and a million other false teachers. And it's not like John G. Lake lived 2,000 years ago and we can't know for sure anything about him; the historical record proves him to be a false teacher and fraud.

  2. And the church didn’t kick him out or bench him when he admitted to the reporter he was the same guy as the Arab? Amazing. It is very odd that Lake never checked back on the churches in Africa.

  3. Just wanted to note that Johnson’s book has a lowercase G in God whereas the other words have uppercase.
Lowercase Gs in the Bible doesn’t indicate the True God but satan, the idols, and men.

  4. Don’t you understand Long4Truth? Lake visited Arabian and was financed by the journalist and met Lawrence… in his dreams. Because it’s all poppycock.

Thanks for the great video and information!

  5. Hmmm. We weren't there. Why assume that Lake must have been lying to the reporter. How do you know the reporter wasn't lying or just didn't pick up on the context that others might have been aware of that this was a kind of drama presentation?

If you look at some old newspapers, some of them did not really try to have the impartial approach to news, an attempt at the loss of bias that news used to have in this country, back during the 70s and 80s. That is largely lost from news today. Inaccurate reporting may have led to the Spanish-American war.

Back when I was in college, my car was parked in the one little space in the parking lot that didn't have a curb. The battery died and I tried to roll it back, but it ended up hanging over a ledge. The campus newspaper reported a rumor that I was so angry at the car for the battery dying that I pushed it off a cliff. I've read news pieces about topics I knew a bit about, and they can contain inaccuracies or not know what they are talking about. Reports of scientific research are often mistated, also.

You shouldn't rule out the idea that the news people misreported or got it wrong. Pentecostals were hated and persecuted back then.

  6. I have really enjoyed your videos and they have been very educational. Have you considered doing a series on Curry Blake, the guy who claims to be carrying on the “mantle” of Lake? I know a lot of people are under his sway.

  7. Just curious. You spend 3 long minutes reading every reported detail of Lake’s life beginning in 1870 thru his death in 1935, to disprove what might have happened in the period 1909 to 1916? Why waste our time? Lake claimed that W T Stead in London funded his trip to Arabia. Stead died in 1912. Although it seems all three Stead, TE. Lawrence and Lake were in London at the same time in 1909 and may have met together then, the rest of Lake’s account is impossible. T E Lawrence became a lieutenant and went to Egypt in December 2014. By then Lake was documented in Spokane and western U.S. during the rest of the subject period, and there was no time to spend 19 months in Arabia. Why not say that instead of reading a life story?

  8. Come to think of it, which of the prophets in the Bible was a violent, fornicator, fraud ,and deceiver? (And I could add extortioner as well)
None. Compare that deceiver against the real measuring Stick of the Word of God and he falls short in no time. News articles are only confirming how this guy was a fraud.
