  1. Notes: 40 DAYS PRAYER & FASTING 2025 || UNDERSTANDING THE PROPHETIC | RCN MINNESOTA | DAY 4 |16TH JAN. 2025

Context: The congregation was composed of church members, ministers, and guests from various locations, gathered to deepen their spiritual sensitivity and resilience. Apostle Arome Osayi highlighted the necessity of spiritual fortification to navigate life's battles and fulfil divine mandates. He underscored how intentional spiritual exercises, such as fasting and prayer, are critical to aligning with God’s will.

    Key Scriptures:
Ephesians 3:14-16 — Strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.
Psalms 18:29 — By God, we run through troops and leap over walls.
Luke 1:80 — John the Baptist grew and became strong in spirit.
Luke 2:40-47 — Jesus grew strong in spirit, filled with wisdom.
Acts 1:8 — Receiving power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you.
1 Corinthians 6:17 — He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

    2. Main Teachings
    Strengthening the Inner Man
Apostle Arome explained that fulfilling one’s divine purpose requires spiritual might. Using Ephesians 3:16, he taught that adversities are not always removed by God; instead, God empowers believers to overcome them. He emphasized that the strength of the inner man is the foundation for victory in spiritual warfare and fulfilling destiny.
    The Necessity of Spiritual Exercise
He stressed that spiritual growth must be intentional. Drawing from Luke 1:80 and Luke 2:40, Apostle Arome described how both John the Baptist and Jesus deliberately developed their spirits to prepare for their divine assignments. This included seasons of isolation, fasting, and immersion in God’s word.
The Role of the Holy Spirit
Acts 1:8 was used to explain that the Holy Spirit imparts both inherent and potential power (dunamis). Apostle Arome highlighted that this power remains dormant unless believers engage in consistent spiritual disciplines like prolonged prayer, fasting, and meditative study of the Word.
    The Armor of God
Referencing Ephesians 6, he elaborated that spiritual armor—truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, and the Word—requires activation through continuous prayer and vigilance. Without exercising their spirits, believers cannot effectively wield these tools in spiritual warfare.

    3. Illustrations and Examples
    The Refiner's Analogy
He compared the Holy Spirit to a refinery processing crude oil. Just as raw crude must undergo refining to produce valuable products like gas and petrol, the Holy Spirit refines believers through prayer and fasting to unlock divine power and wisdom.
    Personal Family Testimony
Apostle Arome shared how his family once struggled with spiritual oppression until they collectively embraced consistent prayer. This shift transformed their spiritual atmosphere and broke generational cycles of affliction.
    Jesus at Age 12
Luke 2:46-47 was used to illustrate Jesus' spiritual maturity at age 12. Jesus engaged with scholars in the temple, asking and answering questions that amazed them. This was a direct result of His focused spiritual growth.

    4. Theological Insights
    Dunamis Power Explained
The Greek word "dunamis" means both inherent and potential power. Apostle Arome explained that believers receive inherent power upon receiving the Holy Spirit. However, this power must be activated through deliberate spiritual practices.
    The One Spirit Economy
Drawing from 1 Corinthians 6:17, Apostle Arome taught that believers are joined with the Lord as one spirit, granting them access to divine resources. Yet, this spiritual wealth requires activation through intentional spiritual engagement.
    The Impact of Spiritual Weakness
Referencing Psalms 18:29, he emphasized that spiritual failure in times of adversity reveals weak spiritual strength. Therefore, believers must prioritize building inner strength through regular spiritual disciplines.

    5. Practical Applications
Daily Prayer: Dedicate time each day for fervent prayer to build spiritual endurance.
Structured Fasting: Observe regular fasting, coupled with hydration and personal hygiene, to sustain both physical and spiritual health.
Maintain Spiritual Focus: Avoid idle talk and distractions to protect spiritual sensitivity.
Activate Spiritual Gifts: Intentionally pray and seek God to stir up dormant gifts (2 Timothy 1:6).
Walk in Authority: Boldly exercise spiritual authority against challenges and demonic resistance.

    6. Key Takeaways
Spiritual strength is essential to overcoming life’s challenges and fulfilling God’s purpose.
The Holy Spirit’s power is available but must be activated through prayer and fasting.
Spiritual disciplines such as worship, fasting, and meditation build lasting inner strength.
Clarity of purpose is a result of sustained spiritual growth and engagement.
Consistent spiritual exercise breaks limitations and empowers believers to advance God’s kingdom.

    7. Conclusion
Apostle Arome Osayi's sermon powerfully conveyed that believers must prioritize spiritual capacity building to withstand adversity and fulfill their God-ordained destinies. Through fasting, prayer, and disciplined living, believers are equipped to access divine strength and wisdom. This message calls for renewed commitment to consistent spiritual exercises for lasting transformation.

  2. Gracious greetings to you from Dubai, sir. I cannot express enough how blessed I have been to be lifted by your wisdom even from afar. I am really praying to meet you soon one of these days in Dubai. I was so excited and encouraged when you shared your testimony of encountering the Lord in the Hotel you stayed in Deira, when you visited Dubai a few years ago. The Lord brought me to Dubai for a certain purpose under the garb of a job, but I know it's only secondary to what He wants me to do for the Kingdom as a primary assignment, which is to pray pray and pray… listening to you over YouTube has helped me understand this… God begins with us by giving us the assignment of intercession for those He lays on our heart…I am led to pray for the oppressed, subjugated, discriminated brethren in the land and further as the Holy Spirit leads. I do not have a spiritual father in this land but I believe I'm your daughter in the spirit as many of your teachings sync with my spirit.
Thank you sir Arome Osayi… God bless you real good and continue to make His face shine upon your life. You are a great blessing to those who are looking up for light amidst darkness.
May the flames of revival consume the darkness around us, through us in Jesus name Amen.
For more grace and power we sincerely pray. Amen

Thank you daddy. God bless and honor you, sir.
    🙏❤️🙏

  3. The traditional age in Isreal for Bat Mitzah is 13 years old. Jesus was 12 years old, had not done Mitzah, and was questioning the doctors, and they had no answers, so Jesus was simply amazing to them…
