  6. Tithe was not only to cater for priesthood, but also the widows, fatherless, strangers etc.
    Tithe was not money but farm produce.
    Tithe was not to be collected every Sabbath day but every three years.
    Tithe was commanded to be collected by the Levites alone and not by any pastor today.
    This was why Aaron couldn't collect Tithe directly from anyone even though he was first made a priest before the Levites.
    Let this man name another prophet, Jesus or the Apostles, did any other prophet collect Tithe in the bible.
    Any pastor today collecting Tithes is a thief.

  13. Please sir, why do you jump those are entitled to the tithe? That's the priest, Levites, strangers orphanage, widows and the poor? They are proportionately shared. At what point do you give to those entitled to?
    Do you mention the amount collected for this purpose for integrity reasons? Malachi also spells out the consequences of not doing so. The giver should ensure complete obedience and the receiver also ensure complete implementation as stated in the scriptures.
    There's no way in the Bible that tithe is used for otherwise stated purposes. Remember that the old testament laws have strict rules of engagement. Where either party fails, the curses with take effect.
    Also, please sir, it seems the Apostles forgot to apply the tithing principles throughout their tenor, why was this so.
    You mentioned Matthew 23:23, and said Christ did not condenm it.
    Please sir, it then means that it was part of the law whether lighter or heavier. Is it not?
    At the end of it all, what did Christ do to the laws including tithe law?
    Romans 10:4.
    When issues are treated for obvious reasons, the integrity of Christ is been displayed especially when we claim to be representing Christ.
    I'm a Pastor by God Grace and wouldn't for any reason drag Christ name to monetary matters.
    The problems in the church today was and is created by we Gentile preachers both black and white, that is, non Jews.
    Did Christ ask any one to errect a building and name it church in his personal name in disguise? Did any of the Apostles did so?

  29. Stop blowing your trumpet! Your message is very harmful to the Lords flock. Your message is legalistic, any one who is legalistic can not bear fruit. You just might be paying your tithing (l do not thing so!) but l know you're not bearing fruit. Jesus said repent, take up your cross and be lead by the Spirit. Christians pay taxes, which pays for Church's , the poor and many other things. The tith was a tax. If you walk in the Spirit the Lord will teach how to give or were to give, for God will judge the greedy person. It is never 1/10th of salary but increase ,that is why this pastor was so careful not to follow what other pastors are saying , it means if your salary increased from 1000 to 1200 ,200 is the increase then you can tithe on 200 not on the salary ,and is not a monthly thing but nothing wrong to support the ministry that us not called tithe is called church support .

  40. We become blessed because Jesus died for us, NOT because we tithe. Tithing used to be an old testament way of being blessed by God, not for Christians. Beware of Pastors who want to enrich their ministries. It is a lie to tell people that in the Book of Malachi God is talking to followers, but is talking to Pastors, Bishops Prophets who misuse riches of their ministries and forget to set aside resources for opharns, widows and the alike. Read carefully the Book of Malachi from chapter 1 to 3.

  46. Apostle Selman did not comply anyone to pay tithe. It's your money and your decision.
    If you do not believe in payment of tithe please keep your money and let those who believe in tithing give their money diligently.
    Paying of tithe does not mean that one does not give to the poor, widowed and less privileged. I laugh when people make such insinuations.
    I laugh when people mention that folks who pay tithe are not wealthy and I ask thus," is wealth only mentioned in material things?
    My money belongs to God and joyfully I will keep paying my tithe and first fruit
