Honestly, while that scene with Ja Rule threatening a stained glass Jesus is funny, it’s pretty good…? Dude is at the lowest point in his life, especially after thinking it’s all getting better as he stops being a terrible person and then all this happens and well, dude was a gangbanging drug dealer. Him threatening Jesus showed that he was slipping back into his old self who only knew how to handle problems with violence. I felt it was a subtle (albeit a tad silly) way to show that he was going back to his terrible old self.
The jon movie is super cute. I love the love of Christianity when it's done right and the idealisms that Jesus portrayed. I wish every question would go by what would Jesus do because then everything would be okay. It's the rest of the garbage that I can't deal with and there's a lot of it. Also how is he going to directly negate history. I understand when Christians just don't bring up the symbolism of pagan holidays that the Christians slap their religious dates on top of, to eradicate paganism but to directly deny history that you can look up in any book is just amazing.
